Text Editing

Editing gives clarity and power to book manuscripts, articles, essays, research papers, website copy, promotional copy, and even poetry. My professional editing includes advice on spelling, punctuation, grammar, word choice, sentence structure, organization, and message.
You write to express your ideas, so you want the editor's eye on the mark, but you don't want the editor's voice getting in the way of your own. My recommended corrections are presented alongside your original text so that you can take the advice or leave it, as you wish. You can request edits on paper or on digital file, whichever is your favorite medium.
The rate is $20 per hour for individuals and $30 per hour for corporations and institutions. Although some manuscripts take more time to edit than others, generally the pace is about 1000 words per hour. An estimate will be provided to you in advance. One-hour minimum order. Discounts may be offered on large orders, such as book-length manuscripts.
Free Text Edit
Enjoy a free text edit of up to 500 words of continuous text. Choose a piece of your novel, a piece of your website, a piece of important correspondence—whatever you wish. It's a great way to see, for free, what editing can do for your important writing.
Image Editing
Image editing gives pictures more punch. Digital photography has made shooting and sharing images easy for everyone. You want your images all cropped neatly to a standard size for a website project, but how do you decide where and what to cut? You have a fantastic family shot—but what about the red eye? The fall foliage on the wilderness trail looked brilliant in real life, so why does the photo look dark and dull now? My experienced skills in digital image editing will restore and transform your digital photos.
The rate is $20 per hour for individuals and $30 per hour for corporations and institutions. The pace of work depends entirely on the condition of the original photo. An estimate will be provided to you in advance. One-hour minimum order.
